Clients are asked to place an active check or credit card on file with Family Pet Services, LLC for processing of service fees. Then sit back, relax and we'll handle the rest! We currently accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards as well as debit/check cards.
 
 
Service Times
While vacation visits occur between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, all other services will take place between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM.  Unless medication must be administered at an exact time, we are unable to promise specific times for any service.  Services requested outside of normal business hours (before 10:00 AM and after 6:00 PM) will incur a $10 surcharge per visit.
 
Mid-Day Dog Walking Services
Available Monday through Friday, each 20-minute visit includes: walk, treat (if provided), fresh water and feeding (if requested). Monthly contract packages at discounted rates.

Cage-Free Boarding Services
Our all-inclusive boarding package covers pick-up at your home, transportation to one of our exclusive boarding sites, walks & exercise throughout the day, feeding, treats, visit to one of the local off-leash dog parks, lots of one-on-one attention, and drop-off at your home.  The only thing that will  make your pet want to leave is you!

Vacation Visits
Available 7 days a week, two or three 30-minute visits per day can be selected. Each visit includes: walk, playtime, treat, fresh water and feeding.

Puppy Visits
Available Monday through Friday, each twice-a-day 15-minute visit includes: potty break, playtime, treat (if provided), fresh water and feeding (if requested). For puppies up to 8 months.

Basic Cat Checks
Our basic cat checks are intended to ensure the safety and well-being of your cat. Each 15-minute visit includes a litter check, fresh water and feeding (if requested) & playtime.

House/Overnight Sitting
Available 7 days a week, our bonded and insured staff will arrive at your home by 9:00 PM, ensure the security of all doors and windows at ground level, park in your driveway for prime visibility and stay in your home overnight. If requested, we can water plants, bring in mail and newspapers, alternate lighting and open/close blinds to provide a crime deterrent during your vacation.

Terms and Conditions
  1. We1 agree to provide services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. You expressly waive any and all claims against us unless arising from gross negligence on our part.
  2. We shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death or actions of any pet(s) that you have let outside (or instructed us to allow outside) while we are not present. This includes pets with “doggie doors”, outdoor pets, etc. Likewise, all pets with electronic fencing must wear their collars with fresh batteries. We are not responsible for any animals that cross the perimeter.
  3. Initial consultations are assessed a non-refundable $20 fee, payable on that date.
  4. You are required to provide us with an active debit or credit card that you are lawfully authorized to use for the processing of all service fees. Once fees are processed, you will be presented with a receipt (paper or electronic). All account balances are processed in full five (5) business days in advance of service, with deposits run on the same day as your initial consultation or reservation. Payments that fail to clear by this date will be assessed a $30 late fee per day. Returned checks are assessed a fee of $50 and the entire balance will be due within three (3) days via cash or certified money order. More than one payment difficulty may result in action against you (from a guaranteed funds requirement  up to legal recourse). In such cases, you are responsible for all attorneys' fees, court costs, collection expenses, etc. incurred by us.
  5. Prior to vacation and mid-day services, you must provide us with one (1) copy of house key(s) and/or garage door opener as needed. Key pick-up service is available for $15 per occasion.
  6. For our safety, all doors and easily-accessible windows must be locked at all times. After one warning, a $25 fee may be assessed for each unlocked door/window and police may be contacted as a precaution. We encourage you to contact your local Crime Prevention Officer for a free inspection.
  7. 48-hour advanced reservations are required for all services. Late reservations may be assessed a $20 fee per occurrence.
  8. All pets must have a veterinarian, be in decent health, be heartworm and/or FLV negative and be current on all vaccinations including rabies, distemper, bordatella, lyme & leptospirosis (we cannot accept titers as an alternative).  All pets must also be up-to-date on a heartworm preventative medication (dogs only) and a topical flea and tick preventative (all pets). You must provide us with a copy of these records. You are fully responsible for any costs we incur due to your pet's lack of records and/or parasites.
  9. You agree to provide us with an appropriate collar and leash that will be used at all times. Collars must display all tags including: identification tag with pet name and owner contact information, current county license and rabies vaccination tag. Pet license and vaccination tags are required by law and must be present on collar at all times. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule.
  10. In the event of additional unforeseen visits or other expenses (food, supplies or veterinary fees), the associated cost(s) and a reasonable surcharge will apply.
  11. We reserve the right to visit multiple pets simultaneously. Your pet(s) may be introduced to, play and/or spend time with other pets at our sole discretion. You agree that these other pets may enter your home as needed to prevent any pet(s) being left unsupervised.
  12. We do not diagnose or make therapy decisions, nor offer veterinary services. We cannot sit for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions. Any veterinary or medical concerns will be referred to a licensed veterinarian.
  13. For our safety (and yours), we do not accept aggressive or dangerous animals. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule.
  14. We will not be responsible for any keys or other means of entry that you request be mailed back.
  15. Unless a pet requires prescription medication, we do not accept time-specific visit requests. We cannot guarantee specific times accurately.
  16. Office hours (scheduling and administration) are Monday through Friday 9-6, Saturday 11:30-3 and Sunday by advanced reservation only. Your pet's visits will occur between 8 AM and 8 PM, with mid-day walks between 10 AM and 3:30 PM. Services requested outside regular hours will incur a $10 charge per occurrence.
  17. We are not responsible for any damage(s) your pet(s) may cause to any home or property, whether before or after our visit, unless it is due to specific instruction neglected by us.
  18. We reserve the right to deny/terminate service at any time for any reason. If this occurs, we will not allow your pet(s) to be left without care.
  19. We reserve the right to take pet(s) to a licensed veterinarian. You are responsible for any and all resulting veterinary charges, plus a reasonable surcharge by us.
  20. To avoid fees, you are responsible for all snow/ice removal and must promptly contact us in the event of any road closures that may prevent our scheduled visit.
  21. If you fail to maintain a clear entry to your home and do not contact us in a timely fashion to cancel/reschedule services, a $25/day surcharge will occur until the entry is clear and free of obstacles. (This includes plant overgrowth, bagged trash, etc.)
  22. Pet transportation is offered as a convenience to you. Due to rising gas costs and the staff time required, the price of this service is not negotiable and will not be "waived". Outside of our standard 8-mile radius, additional charges will apply.
  23. Cancellation of vacation visits, photography sessions, house sitting and boarding services must be received two (2) weeks before scheduled service date or a fee (up to the entire remaining balance) will be assessed. Deposits will not be refunded or credited, no exceptions. Cancellations for walking, puppy and cat services must be received by 8 AM the day of scheduled service or a $20 fee will be assessed. If you cancel within the specified time frame(s) but have already pre-paid in full, a partial refund (up to 50% of your total) will be processed as a credit to your account. Voice mail, email and/or text message cancellations received within the required time frame(s) will be accepted. Late cancellations of any holiday service (day before, day of, day after) will require payment in full of the entire remaining balance.
  24. Services occurring on a federal (or major religious) holiday will incur a surcharge of $20. (New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas may incur this fee the day before, day of & day after the holiday.)
  25. Unexpected, emergency or requested services occurring before or after normal operating hours (10 AM to 6 PM) may be assessed a $10 fee per occurrence.
  26. We are not responsible for the loss, injury or death of any pet(s) caused by another animal. You are responsible for the loss, injury or death of any person(s) or animal(s) caused by your pet(s) unless due to gross negligence by us.
  27. You are responsible for any property and/or facility damage(s), as well as any and all personal property damage(s), caused by your pet(s) unless due to express negligence on our part. This includes our administrative location as well all off-site locations such as our cage-free boarding facilities, our home(s) and/or vehicle(s), activity destinations such as dog parks, walk and visit locations such as client homes, etc.
  28. This contract may be altered, changed or amended by us at any time without prior notification. If changes occur, you will be presented with the revised contract prior to your next service for approval and signature.
  29. Any client-specific changes, amendments, requests or alterations will appear on your contract with us as Number 30 (and any subsequent numbers) listed after the signature section. Once you sign that contract, you agree to any of those added sections established by us and you.
